Kochi: A policeman has been suspended for his association with the banned organization Popular Front. The action is against CPO Siyad of Caladi station. Ziyad had helped the Popular Front worker on the day of hartal. The police have informed that there will be a detailed investigation in this incident.

The case was registered at Perumbavoor station on the day of hartal. Perumbavoor police have taken three Popular Front workers into custody. At this stage, Ziyad, who reached the station, tried to get bail for the accused and delivered food to them.

One of the PFI workers is a relative of Ziyad. Later, based on checking his phone records, it was found that he was in constant contact with PFI workers. A detailed investigation will follow.

The suspension action was primarily after the PFI connection was confirmed. On the day of the raid and subsequent hartal against the PFI leaders, several policemen were in touch with the Popular Front leadership. In this way, the information of 873 policemen was handed over to the state government by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
