Car Insurance in Lecco Continues to Rise
Car insurance premiums in the province of Lecco saw a significant increase in July 2024, reaching an average of 463.87 euros, a 11.85% hike from the previous year. This surge follows a trend observed throughout Lombardy, where the average premium climbed to 506.33 euros, an increase of 10% compared to July 2023.
The data, compiled by the Joint Observatory Facile.it – Assicurazione.it, reveals an initial reversal of the downward trend observed in some Lombard provinces, with some areas witnessing reductions of up to 5% over the past six months.
Across the region, premiums experienced significant variations between different provinces. Sondrio, Como, and Brescia recorded the highest increases, while Milan and Brescia emerged as the most expensive areas for car insurance.
The graph below illustrates the steady upward trend of average premiums over the past year, with the exception of June, which saw a temporary dip before prices rebounded in July 2024.
