A concert dedicated to the work of composer, musician, poet Bahram Nasibov took place on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev in Baku, Day.Az reports.

The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the Public Association “Propaganda of the Creativity of Bahram Nasibov”.

At the evening, Nasibov’s compositions were performed by the instrumental composition of the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble named after Fikret Amirov, soloists – Honored Artists of Azerbaijan Nuria Huseynova, Almaz Orujova, Sevinj Sariyeva, Ekhtiram Huseynov, laureates of republican and international competitions Vafa Vezirova, Farhad Allahverdiyev, Ravana Gurbanova, Huseyn Melikov, Umidvar Ismailov, Gunay Imamverdieva, Murad Lachinly, Aishan Eminli, Kamran Shakarova.

The performed works warmed the souls and hearts of the listeners, for whom the concert became a real musical gift.

Let us note that Bahram Nasibov was born on June 22, 1942 in the Fizuli region in the family of a musician. From a young age he showed interest in music. Nasibov graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts named after M.A. Aliyev (now the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts). In 1965, he played a cameo role as a tar player in the film “Arshin Mal Alan”.

Bakhram Nasibov is the author of about 300 songs. Nasibov’s songs were performed by such famous performers as Shovket Alekperova, Abulfat Aliyev, Tukezban Ismailova, Arif Babayev, Rakhilya Hasanova, Islam Rzayev, Nazaket Mamedova, Sakhavet Mamedov, Niyameddin Musayev and others. Nasibov also accompanied khanenda Khan Shushinsky as a tar performer.

Bakhram Nasibov also wrote poems (including satirical ones), stories and ghazals. Performances based on his short stories were shown on television performed by famous actors.

The song “Karabakh”, written by Bahram Nasibov, is one of the most famous songs in Azerbaijan today.

Bahram Nasibov died in 1998 after a long illness.
