The court, in accordance with the decision of the Moscow prosecutor’s office, sent a man to a pre-trial detention center for two months, who had previously escaped a police chase on the Moscow Ring Road in a BMW. This is reported in Telegram by the supervisory authority. The detainee is charged with attempted illegal sale of drugs on an especially large scale.
A preventive measure was chosen in relation to a previously convicted 23-year-old man accused of attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale. He will remain in jail until January 26, 2022.
On November 26, the police in the area of the 30th km of the Moscow Ring Road demanded that the man stop, but he did not fulfill the demand of law enforcement officers. While leaving the security forces, the BMW driver crashed into several cars, one of which caught fire. During the arrest, the man was wounded, and his car caught fire from being hit by a bullet. In the back seat of a BMW, three large bundles of white powdery substance were found.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that the man was carrying mephedrone with him to the BMW, and more than 1,000 packages and parcels were found at his home, presumably with a synthetic drug. Experts are currently investigating them. The police subsequently opened a criminal investigation.
