The authorities of Primorye received an analysis of samples of substances that were imported from the Amur Region and are now stored in the Nadezhdinsky and Khorolsky districts of the region. As reported in the official Telegram channel of the regional government, they turned out to be agrochemicals that have lost their operational properties.

“For further actions related to the disposal of these substances, we sent a request to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, so that experts explain how to safely neutralize and dispose of them,” the report says.

The task of Sistema LLC, which accepted pesticides, is to ensure their storage in accordance with the requirements of the law. Now they are planning to build a hangar there, where the substances will be stored until a decision is made on how to neutralize them. This should take 2-3 weeks.

In parallel, the authorities of Primorye turned to their neighbors in the Amur region to consider the possibility of placing the cargo there along with those substances that are still at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

A high alert mode has been introduced in the Nadezhda and Khorol districts, which will help to quickly resolve issues related to this situation.

In the fall of 2021, about 300 tons of pesticides were brought to Primorye from the Vostochny cosmodrome, which were placed at sites in the Nadezhda and Khorolsky districts. They were planned to be disposed of, but local residents opposed it. Checks began on the company that stored the dangerous goods, the authorities of Primorye wanted to return it to the Amur region, but the neighbors refused to accept pesticides. In parallel, an examination of substances was ordered, which was supposed to clarify what exactly is stored in Primorye.
