In the Mother See, the Order of Washing was performed

On April 6, Holy Thursday, H.S.O.T.T. Under the patronage of Karekin the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the order of washing was performed at the open altar of Holy Trdat of the Mother See.

After the scriptural readings of the current ceremony, the Catholicos of All Armenians blessed the water and oil placed on the altar.

Then, following the example of God, he washed and anointed with oil the congregants of the Mother See under the singing of soulful hymns. Bishop Daniel Fentgyan, Deacon Garik Kadeyan, Deacon Anushavan Asatryan, K. Patriarch of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople Reverend Zatik Papikyan, student of Gevorgyan seminary Z auditorium Narek Temuryan, conscripts of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense Vram Atoyan, Samvel Aslanyan, students of “Eornekyan” public school Felix Arakelyan, Suren Movsisyan, student of Mother See “Kyurkchyan” children’s support center Ashot Asatryan, as well as the feet of other children: Robert Alikhanyan, George Karayan, Hayk Sargsyan and Levon Kesablian.

At the end of the ceremony, the Patriarch of All Armenians blessed the pious people present with the “Protector” prayer, after which the blessed oil was distributed to the believers.
