The Conference League semi-final kicked off last night (Thursday) with two games: Ophir Marciano and Feyenoord beat Marseille 2-3, while Leicester and Roma split 1-1 at King Power Stadium. The one who garnered compliments from the Dutch victory was the Israeli goalkeeper, who provided an incredible save in the 90th minute from a kick by Dimitri Fayette, and left his team in the lead until the end of the game.
Although Marcino had a significant part in Gerson’s second goal, after the ball bounced off the ball into the box, the goalkeeper scored a number of significant saves during the game that prevented the French from scoring more than two goals. The Dutch VP also praised the Israeli goalkeeper, noting: “In the final minute, the goalkeeper also took a major role in the game after issuing an incredible save from a Dimitri Fayette kick, thus giving his team an advantage in France next week.”
Both Feyenoord’s official Twitter page and UEFA have posted the goalkeeper’s great save. Apart from the compliments that Ophir Marcinau garnered across Europe, his wife, Shelly Marcinau, also took care to share on the social network her pride from her husband.
