About 80 percent of Russian children with cancer who are treated in federal medical centers, where comprehensive assistance is provided, are recovering, said Vladimir Polyakov, chief children’s oncologist of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, on the eve of the International Day of Children with Cancer, which is celebrated on February 15, RIA Novosti reported.
