The Ministry of Health updated tonight (Saturday) that over the weekend there was an increase in the number of verified people to Corona. A total of 1,137 people were diagnosed as infected with the Sabbath virus. There was also a slight increase in the percentage of positive tests, which is 0.95. There was also an increase in the infection coefficient, which now stands at 1.11. As of this hour, 81 patients are defined as in critical condition, with 41 of them breathing. Since the outbreak of the plague, 8,232 people have died.
Meanwhile, the new agreements regarding the entrance to the malls will be brought for approval tomorrow at the weekly cabinet meeting. Ministers are also expected to approve the new countries that will be included in the list of red countries – to which Israelis will be banned from flying.
According to the agreements announced last night, in malls and closed commercial areas, a tight purple mark will be applied immediately, according to the occupancy rate of one person per 15 square meters. Immunization stations will be established in 50 main centers in the malls, and special benefits will be given to those who are vaccinated in the mall.
The outline was formulated by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, Economy Minister Orna Barbibai and Deputy Minister Avir Kara. In addition, the government is expected to approve tomorrow the updated list of red countries, to which flights by Israelis will be banned. The new countries to be included in the list are the United States, Canada, Portugal, Turkey, Germany, Hungary, Morocco and Belgium.
Last week, Prime Minister Bennett and Health Minister Horowitz agreed that vaccinated and recovering people who return to Israel from red countries will be able to sign the “agreement” after the test at Ben Gurion Airport, thus maintaining the insulation at home and not in a hotel. The test at Ben Gurion Airport, after which they will be transferred to home isolation for a week. The ministers will also approve a law that will allow the denial of funding for Corona hotels from unvaccinated passengers who return to Israel.
