Yesterday evening, October 9, two fires occurred in the Smolensk region. A private house and rolls of hay were on fire. The incidents happened 17 minutes apart.
At 16:47 firefighters received a message about a fire in the village of Kechigino, Gagarinsky district. 2 tankers and 5 fire fighters drove to the scene. Arriving, the firefighters found hay in rolls, which was engulfed in flames. The fire is extinguished. The cause and the damage caused by the fire are determined by experts.
Another fire occurred at 17:04. A private house on Kolkhoznaya Street in the village of Kholm-Zhirkovsky caught fire. Two tankers and five firefighters moved to the rescue. The fire is completely extinguished, the cause and damage are established. The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Smolensk Region reported that a man was injured in the fire – he was provided with medical assistance and transported to a hospital.
