In the USA, a “time capsule” was installed at the base of the statue of General Lee

At the base of the dismantled statue of General Robert Lee in Richmond, Virginia, a “time capsule” was installed with references to current events.

According to The Hill, items related to the racial justice movement and the coronavirus pandemic were placed in the capsule.

Earlier in Richmond, they tried to find a capsule, which, as officials assumed, was laid in the pedestal at the end of the 19th century, but the search was unsuccessful.

We will remind, the Equestrian statue of General of the Confederate Army Robert Lee, installed in 1890, was dismantled on September 8. Former President Donald Trump condemned the dismantling of the monument.
