Inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Temple – 200 kg Baby Rama Idol Installed and Special Pujas Held

Ayodhya: A 200 kg baby Rama idol was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ayodhya Ram temple and special pujas were held for 4 hours.

The opening ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Temple is going to be held on 22nd. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others will participate in it. Earlier, the pujas for the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple began on the 16th. Pujas including Prayachitha were performed on that day. These special pujas will continue till the 22nd, when the opening ceremony of the Ram temple will take place. Ram temple head priest Satyendra Das said 11 priests were involved in the puja. Theertha Pooja, Jala Yatra, Gangadivas etc. will be held in the coming days.

On 22nd at 12.20 pm, special pujas will be held for the inauguration of Ram Temple. This puja is expected to be completed by 1 pm.

In this case, the 200 kg baby Rama idol carved in black stone was brought into the Ram temple last night as per Agama norms and installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple last evening. This statue is sculpted by Mysore sculptor Arun Yogiraj. Pujas like Ganesha – Ambika Puja, Varuna Puja were performed for 4 hours to the idol of Lord Rama installed inside the sanctum sanctorum. The eyes of this idol are covered with cloth. On the opening day this cloth is removed and consecration pujas are performed.

Meanwhile, a half-day holiday has been announced for central government offices and industrial establishments across the country so that central government employees can directly participate in the opening ceremony of Ram Temple and watch the program broadcast live on television. In an order issued by the Ministry of Personnel Welfare to the ministries and departments of the central government, the offices will be closed till 2.30 pm on that day. Minister of State for Personnel Welfare Jitendra Singh said, “This decision has been taken considering the sentiments of the majority of people.”
