France Secures Ticket to Volleyball Final at Paris Olympics

France put in a fantastic performance in the men’s volleyball semifinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics at the South Paris Arena 1, Thursday (8/8) early morning WIB.
The hosts, who are also the reigning men’s volleyball champions, defeated world champions Italy 3-0.
While the match wasn’t easy, France’s solidity, led by Earvin Ngapeth, proved too much for their opponents. The final score was 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.
Ngapeth, the French outside hitter, expressed his delight at the victory, stating, “It was amazing. We came into this game with the intention of playing perfectly to win, because that’s what it takes to beat Italy. And, honestly, it was more than perfect.”
The top scorer in the men’s volleyball semifinals was Ngapeth’s teammate, outside hitter Trevor Clevenot, with 17 points.
Earlier in the semifinals, Poland defeated the United States 3-2, after trailing 1-2. The world number one Polish team eventually secured the win with a score of 25-23, 25-27, 14-25, 25-23, 15-13.
