In the U-19 World Cup, defending champions India beat New Zealand by 214 runs thanks to Mushir Khan’s action.
Batting first, the Indian team scored 295 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. New Zealand bowled out for 81 runs next.

James Nelson scored 10 runs. Captain Oscar Jackson scored only 19 runs off 38 balls. Zach Cumming scored 16 and Thompson scored 12. In the end, New Zealand were bowled out for 81 runs in 28.1 overs.
Indian fast bowler Raj Limbani took the first two wickets. Salami Pandey gave only 19 runs in 10 overs and took 4 wickets. Mushir Khan took 2 wickets for his part and scored 131 runs. Tiwary and Arshin Kulkarni took one wicket each.
Indian opener Adarsh Singh scored 52 runs. Mushir Khan bowled aggressively, sending balls from the New Zealand bowlers to the boundary and pushing the batsmen. His 131 included 13 fours and three sixes. Musheer Khan was the only batsman who hit the opponent’s balls on all four sides.
Indian captain Uday Saharan did not play as expected. He got out after scoring 35 runs.
