by time news

Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Kei Chen Hong said his expectation was that the minority communities in Sri Lanka would benefit from the assistance of China and India and that there would be no competition.

The Ambassador was on a visit to the Northern Province and was in Jaffna today.

He was referring to media reports that Adani India was considering investing in Jaffna.

He further replied,

“A visit to the North is not an abrupt end. Instead it was so far blocked due to the corona even though it was already planned.

The present ivory is pleasing. I will be visiting many parts of the country in the near future.

China and India are the largest countries in Asia. India is our neighbor. We are the countries with the strongest economies in the world. India and China are good friends, good partners, good neighbors.

But there is a long-standing friendship between China and Sri Lanka.

India, China and Sri Lanka are not important but it is better to reap the benefits. The proposed energy project in the North is a project of the Asian Development Bank. The agreements related to it and the parties involved are transparent. So there is nothing to comment on. ”

Meanwhile, the Chinese envoy is scheduled to visit Mannar tomorrow and attend various events.
