Indian men’s hockey team has reached the semi-finals of the Paris Olympics. On Sunday, they defeated Great Britain 4-2 in the penalty shootout and confirmed the semi-finals.
India had to play with a team of 10 for more than 40 minutes. Amit Rodia had to leave the field after receiving a red card. Still in contention for a second consecutive Olympic medal, India kept their spirits up and fought on.
The score was tied at 1-1 at regulation time. Harmanpreet Singh scored for India and Lee Morton scored for Great Britain. Harmanpreet scored from PC in 22 minutes. After 5 minutes, Lee Morton shook the field and brought Great Bitten back to level.
