Parts of the West Bank are under Israeli control. These areas have been the scene of occasional clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinian armed groups.
Meanwhile, Israeli security forces conducted an active search operation in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank on Tuesday. At that time, there was a clash between the Israel Defense Forces and the Palestinian Armed Forces. In this conflict, 9 Palestinians were killed in an attack by Israeli forces. Following this, missiles were fired at Israel from the West Bank. These missiles were intercepted and destroyed in mid-air by Israel’s anti-missile system. This caused tension between Israel and the West Bank.
Following this, a shooting was carried out early this morning near the Jewish place of worship in the Nevi Ya’akov area in East Jerusalem, Israel. A 21-year-old Palestinian in a car opened fire on the Israelis there with his gun. 7 Israelis were killed in this shooting. Also, some were seriously injured. Israel declared the attack a terrorist attack.
Israeli security forces shot and killed the Palestinian who opened fire. Many were seriously injured in the attack and all of them were admitted to a nearby hospital.
Seven Israelis were killed in an attack carried out by a Palestinian armed group in response to an attack carried out by Israeli soldiers in the Jenin area of the West Bank. These attacks have caused tension between Israelis and Palestinians.
In this context, India strongly condemned the terrorist attack by Palestinian in Jerusalem, Israel.
