The Indian spacecraft LVM3 M4 successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 station into Earth’s orbit. The station should reach the orbit of the moon in August. This is reported on website Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

The launch vehicle was launched from the spaceport at the Satish Dhwan Space Center, located on the island of Sriharikota. After 20 minutes, the station successfully separated from the rocket and was launched into Earth’s orbit.

The Chandrayaan-3 project was launched by ISRO to demonstrate a safe and soft landing on the lunar surface. It is planned that the lunar rover will carry out the mission within 14 days from the moment of launch, after which it will reach the satellite for further experiments in place. The Chandrayaan-3 station is equipped with research equipment that will measure the thermal properties of the lunar surface near the polar region, determine the composition of the lunar soil, and explore exoplanets.

In 2019, the center has already made an attempt to send a station to the Moon as part of the Chandrayaan-2 project. Then the station was able to enter a lunar orbit, but due to technical problems, it could not land on the surface of the satellite. The lander crashed on the lunar surface. The orbiter of the Chandrayaan-2 station is still in orbit and is collecting data on the lunar surface there.
