BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that India wants friendship with a dictator like Sheikh Hasina and not with the people of Bangladesh.

Criticizing India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech, he said, when India’s central and influential minister gives a visionary speech, the people of Bangladesh must have emotions. When they degrade, neglect, hate – then emotions will come in us. They do not like the people of Bangladesh, they do not want friendship with the people. They like Sheikh Hasina. Because, if Sheikh Hasina is there, India can dominate Bangladesh.

The chief guest said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the financial donation ceremony of the missing and murdered persons in the past movement of BNP on the occasion of the organization’s 16th founding anniversary organized by the Bangladesh Jatiyatavadi Palli Prakash Association at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Wednesday (September 25) noon.

Regarding the export of hilsa fish to India on the occasion of Durga Puja, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, one of our advisers said, ‘Hilsa is exported to India. Do not speak emotionally here.’ Bengali population is also present in India, Hilsa is a big ingredient for them during Durga Puja. We know that. We have never stopped the export of hilsa. But when the Home Minister of India says, ‘Bangladeshi illegal immigrants will be hanged upside down’ then we will get emotional.

The spokesperson of the party said that our entire nation is very passionate about their country and state. Hilsa can be exported to India. But after the speech of the Home Minister of India, why don’t I say – we will not give hilsa fish.

He said, import-export trade has always been between the two countries. But emotions only come when we are humiliated and treated like slaves. We import onions from India, but stop exporting when they are in crisis. Increases tariffs on exports. But they don’t give us an inch.

Rizvi said, if India considers the people of Bangladesh as second-class citizens, then our emotions will become extreme. Because of the passion of the people of Bangladesh, we have repeatedly won the democratic movement here. We achieved independence in 1971 through a bloody war because of the passion of the people of Bangladesh.

Rizvi also commented that it should not take much time to organize free and fair elections after completing the necessary state reforms.

BNP information secretary Azizul Bari Helal, research secretary agriculturist Shamimur Rahman Shamim and executive committee member Nazim Uddin Alam also spoke on the occasion.
