Indian club teams to be allowed to play in international tournaments- Union sports ministry demands for FIFA

by time news

The International Football Association Board (FIFA) has temporarily revoked its license after the All India Football Federation elections were held and new administrators were not appointed. This has led to problems in the Indian team playing in football matches held abroad.

In this case, the Ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports has appealed to the International Football Confederation and the Asian Football Confederation to allow the Indian club teams Kerala FC and ATK Mohan Pahan from India to participate in the already scheduled matches.

Kerala FC has reached Uzbekistan ahead of the suspension of the All India Football Federation by the International Football Confederation. They will play one team from Iran and another team on 23rd and 26th. Similarly, ATK Mohan Pahan will play in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) tournament on September 7 in Bahrain.

Pointing out this detail, the Union Sports Ministry has sent a letter to the International Football Confederation and the Asian Football Confederation asking that these teams should be allowed to play as scheduled.

The Sports Ministry has also asked the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan to provide all possible assistance to the Indian team.
