UK Set for Late-September Heatwave as Temperatures Climb to 22C

A surprising return to warmer weather is forecast for parts of the United Kingdom, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 22C before the end of September. Did you know?-The UK’s average September temperature is around 17°C.This late-month heatwave could make it one of the warmest Septembers on record for some areas.

Warmest Temperatures Expected in East Anglia

The most significant warming is predicted for areas in eastern England.According to data from Netweather.tv, locations around Norwich, Peterborough, Cambridge, and Norfolk are expected to experience the highest temperatures, peaking at 22C on September 29. This unexpected heat follows closely on the heels of a weekend marked by a yellow warning for rain and wind across Wales and parts of England.

Northern UK to Experience Milder Conditions

However, the outlook is shifting towards more settled conditions. The Met Office anticipates most areas will become dry in the coming week, although the far north of Scotland may experience continued cloud cover and rain on Monday. Showers are also expected to persist in southeast Kent through mid-week.

Long-Range Forecast: Settled Conditions with a Return to Average temperatures

The exception to this trend will be East Anglia and southeast England, where showers accompanied by a brisk breeze are possible.

These showers are expected to ease later in the week as low pressure from the North Atlantic attempts to bring cloud and patchy rain to western and northwestern parts of the UK.Temperatures are projected to gradually return to average levels.By early October, forecasting confidence is low, but conditions are expected to become mo
