Indiana Hoosiers Dominate Maryland Terrapins in Big Ten Opener
In a standout performance, the Indiana Hoosiers took down the Maryland Terrapins with a convincing 65-53 win in their Big Ten opener on Friday. Despite missing Xavier Johnson, Indiana didn’t miss a beat, taking an early lead and maintaining their strong performance throughout the game.
Kel’el Ware once again made a significant impact with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in 33 minutes on the court. Trey Galloway also had a standout game, contributing 12 points, six rebounds, and six assists in 34 minutes.
The Hoosiers dominated in the paint, outscoring Maryland 40-26, and also controlled the glass, scoring 14 second-chance points and limiting the Terrapins to grabbing only 24 percent of their missed shots.
Despite a late push by Maryland, the Hoosiers maintained their lead and secured the win, improving their record to 6-1 ahead of an upcoming road trip to Michigan on Tuesday.
