Death cab for Cutie, My morning Jacket to Headline Expanded outside Days Festival in Denver

Denver’s party of outdoor culture adds a third day of music and expands its industry conference, solidifying its position as a premier event for both enthusiasts and professionals.

Outside Days, the annual festival celebrating outdoor culture and community, is set to return to Denver, Colorado, from May 29-31, 2026, with an expanded format. The event, now spanning three days, will feature a stellar musical lineup headlined by Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket, and Cage The Elephant, alongside performances by Tash Sultana, Goth Babe, Japanese Breakfast, The Flaming Lips, and Dawes, among others.

A Festival Evolving into a Cultural Hub

Founded in 2024 as the Outside Festival and Summit, the event has rapidly grown beyond a traditional music festival. Organizers describe Outside Days as being “at the heart of a rising cultural movement to get everyone outside.” Over the past two years, the festival has attracted over 50,000 attendees, earning it the moniker “the SXSW of the outdoors.” The 2026 iteration marks a move to a new location, Denver’s Auraria Campus, with organizers anticipating over 35,000 attendees.

Beyond the Music: Industry and Adventure

Outside Days isn’t solely focused on musical performances. The event will continue to offer a unique blend of adventure films, conversations with elite athletes and explorers – including appearances by Alex Honnold and Dr. Len Necefer – and experiences designed to foster a connection with the outdoors.

The Outside Days industry conference, beginning on Thursday, May 28, will feature the third year of the Outside Summit, a networking and thought leadership gathering for outdoor professionals. The second year of Outside ignite,a startup pitch competition connecting founders and investors, will also take place. New for 2026 are two additional tracks: Attract, geared towards innovators in the travel industry, and endure, designed for endurance race directors and event organizers.
