jpnn.comJAKARTA – Indonesia was officially selected as the host of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships after winning the voting.
The event will be held next year. In a press release received, Friday (3/5/2024), Indonesia was selected as host of the World Gymnastics Championships based on voting from the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
“In an electronic vote held this week, the FIG Executive Committee has approved the allocation of the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships to the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (PB Persani).
“The event will be held in the city of Jakarta on 19-25 October 2025,” said an excerpt from the FIG’s official statement signed by the FIG Secretary General, Nicolas Buompane.
Welcoming this trust, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo did not want to waste the momentum.
Dito indicated that Indonesia would be a good host.
“Thank God, international trust has been given to Indonesia again. Please pray and support,” said Dito Ariotedjo, Friday (3/5/2024).
Indonesia will later host the 53rd World Gymnastics Championships in history.
