Cronenberg’s film becomes a very dark series that tramples the myth of motherhood
Very bad would have to be a contemporary adaptation of inseparable not to like me And above with Rachel Weisz. An aggressive city in which Elliot and Beverly Mantle want to revolutionize human reproduction while maintaining one of the most sinister fraternal bonds in living memory. It was in the 1988 movie and it is in the 2023 series that, For more concern of the viewer, it keeps the names of its protagonists, although it changes their gender.. Also, in another example of bastard retranca, the woman who completes the triangle is called Genevive in the series, after the actress (Bujold) who played her in the movies. The contempt that Prime Video sometimes seems to show towards its own series may have a very unpleasant consequence for Inseparables in the near future: let’s not rule out that Rachel Weisz is the great forgotten in the awards season television. She shouldn’t, as her Mantle twins are prodigies. Relying on a solid script and brilliant actor direction, Weisz makes two characters that have to be two and one at the same time. Therein lies the conflict of Inseparables. The rest is wrapping. But what a piece of packaging. Inseparable is exactly the series that I wanted it to be.
