Integrity thwarts an attempt to settle a two-billion-dinar debt in the Anbar Implementation Directorate

The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Thursday, the thwarting of an attempt to settle a debt worth two billion dinars in the Anbar Implementation Directorate.
The Commission’s Government Information and Communications Office stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “the Commission’s investigation office in Anbar Governorate has formed a work team to investigate and investigate information received by the office that includes the involvement of an employee of the Follow-up Division in the Anbar Implementation Directorate in offering bribes,” indicating “After setting up an ambush for the accused, the team was able to catch an employee in the Ramadi Enforcement Directorate – Follow-up Division red-handed by paying a sum of money amounting to (5,000,000) dinars out of (7,500,000) dinars to the creditor’s agent.”

He added, “The amount was paid after the accused put pressure on the creditor’s agent for the purpose of agreeing to settle the amount of debt owed by the debtor to the Enforcement Directorate, amounting to (1,950,000,000) dinars.”

He pointed out that “a proper arrest report was prepared for the operation and it was presented, along with the accused and the criminal evidence, to the competent investigating judge, who decided to arrest the accused in accordance with the provisions of Article 310 of the Penal Code.”
