The afternoon “In the world of books and fairy tales” dedicated to the International Children’s Book Day was held in Ashminta library. The library was visited by students of the 1st-4th grades of the Ašminta elementary education department of Prienai “Đžuolo” pro-gymnasium, who listened to a story about the origin of Children’s Book Day and its importance. The librarian invited the students to visit the library more often, where everyone can find many beautiful, interesting and educational books.
Since this day is associated with the birthday of the children’s writer Hans Christian Andersen, the students got to know the books of this creator in the library, watched the movie “How is a book born?”, put the names of fairy tales out of letters, and made tabs for books.
The afternoon spent meaningfully in the library, new knowledge gained, sincere communication gave the students a lot of good, happy emotions.
