International Conference on ⁤Reducing Unemployment in Libya Launched in Benghazi

The activities of the international⁤ scientific conference on “The role ‍of medium and small enterprises in reducing unemployment in ‌Libya” kicked off in ​Benghazi. The⁣ conference is organized by the General Authority for Employment, affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, and‌ features representatives from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, ⁤Morocco, and various⁣ Libyan cities.

The conference aims to:

Highlight the ‍importance of supporting small and ​medium enterprises ​(SMEs) in ⁢Libya as a tool to reduce unemployment.
Evaluate ⁤the role of the General ⁢Authority for Employment in supporting ​Libyan youth and⁤ promoting entrepreneurship.
‍ Discuss economic variables and the culture of self-employment.
Address challenges related​ to establishing small projects ⁤and their financing mechanisms.

The conference​ is being held⁤ under ‌the patronage of the Minister⁣ of ⁢Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr.⁢ Abdullah Al-Sharif Erhuma, ​and is attended⁤ by ⁤members⁢ of the ⁣House of Representatives, two Deputy Prime Ministers, and several ministers.

The event also saw the honoring of prominent figures, including ‍the Speaker‍ of the ⁤House of ⁤Representatives, Khalifa Haftar, and the head of⁢ the Libyan government assigned ‌by the House ​of Representatives, Dr. ⁣Osama Hamad.
