International Conference on Reducing Unemployment in Libya Launched in Benghazi
The activities of the international scientific conference on “The role of medium and small enterprises in reducing unemployment in Libya” kicked off in Benghazi. The conference is organized by the General Authority for Employment, affiliated with the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, and features representatives from Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and various Libyan cities.
The conference aims to:
Highlight the importance of supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Libya as a tool to reduce unemployment.
Evaluate the role of the General Authority for Employment in supporting Libyan youth and promoting entrepreneurship.
Discuss economic variables and the culture of self-employment.
Address challenges related to establishing small projects and their financing mechanisms.
The conference is being held under the patronage of the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharif Erhuma, and is attended by members of the House of Representatives, two Deputy Prime Ministers, and several ministers.
The event also saw the honoring of prominent figures, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Khalifa Haftar, and the head of the Libyan government assigned by the House of Representatives, Dr. Osama Hamad.
