He pointed out that “the deadline granted to make written observations regarding the Libyan request before the International Court of Justice ends on July 10,” expecting “acceptance of accession and no objection from any party,” noting that “South Africa and Israel have the right to review the content of the request and respond to it.” “.

Al-Jahani stated, “The Libyan request to join South Africa, in the lawsuit filed, aims to condemn the occupying state that is committing genocide, and the Libyan team has a memorandum of more than 21 pages, which includes documentation of the violations committed by Israel in Gaza or the West Bank.”

The International Court of Justice announced that Libya had submitted “a declaration of intervention in the case filed by South Africa against Israel, before the court, related to the implementation of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide in Gaza.”
