Investigating Red Plate Bank Credit Abuse Case, Prosecutor’s Office Examines 12 Witnesses – Online Alert

SEIRAMPAH, Waspada.co.id – The Serdang Bedagai District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) continues to investigate the case of alleged fraud in providing credit facilities to one of the state-owned banks which occurred in 2015 in Serdang Bedagai Regency.

In this case, a suspect with the initials S, a resident of Simpang Empat Village, Seirampah District, has been named a suspect.

Kajari Sergai Rufina Ginting, through the Head of Intelligence, Hasan Afif Muhammad, revealed that to date the special crimes investigation team has examined 12 witnesses related to the case.

“Through the investigative team, we have examined 12 witnesses in the case of alleged fraud in providing credit facilities to state-owned banks in 2015 in Sergai Regency,” explained Afif to journalists, Monday (16/12).

Of the 12 witnesses examined, eight of them came from the bank, namely GH, RK, AH, WB, TM, ZR, AZ, and RP.

Apart from that, there are witnesses from the suspect’s family, namely MJ, owner of the SE collateral certificate, a witness from the Sergai Regency National Land Agency (BPN), TR, and someone from the Sergai Regency Licensing Service, RF.

“That apart from that, further examination of witnesses will be carried out this week by the Investigation Team for Special Crimes at the Serdang Bedagai District Prosecutor’s Office and it is possible that there will be additional witnesses in accordance with developments carried out by the Investigation Team,” he said.

The Head of Intelligence admitted that the examination of these witnesses was carried out with the aim of strengthening the evidence and completing the suspect’s case on behalf of S.

When asked about the possibility of other suspects, Afif explained that the investigation was still ongoing.

“Currently the investigation is still ongoing, the investigative team from the Special Investigations Department of Kejari Sergai is still continuing to investigate this case, so it is possible that there are other suspects,” he concluded.

As previously reported, the Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari) named S, a resident of Simpang Empat Village, Seirampah District, Sergai Regency, as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption related to the misuse or misappropriation of credit facilities at one of the state-owned banks.

S’s detention was carried out on Monday (9/12), coinciding with the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day.

As a result of suspect S’ actions, the state suffered losses reaching IDR 964,542,008 million. (wool/rzk/d2)
