The National Institute for Food and Drug Surveillance (Invima) issued an urgent statement alerting consumers about the use of the product ‘Erogan 30 capsules natural Products’. According to the entity, this supplement does not meet the benefits described on its packaging, which has led to the decision to suspend its Health Registration (RSA0014624-2021). As of October 19, its commercialization will be considered illegal.

The measure derives from multiple health alerts issued during 2023, since the product was being sold both as a medicine and a dietary supplement, which contravenes Colombian regulations. The evaluation carried out by Invima revealed that Erogan capsules do not have the properties that sellers advertise, such as increasing testosterone production, improving sports performance, weight reduction, and improving libido and performance. sexual.

Invima also identified that the product contained misleading messages, leading consumers to believe that Erogan can protect against liver and gallbladder diseases, in addition to possessing anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and healing properties. “The labeling of the product declares health properties that are not allowed for foods and beverages,” the health authority stressed.

Given this situation, Invima has urged the population to refrain from acquiring Erogan. For those who have already purchased it, it is recommended to stop using it immediately. “Erogan is a fraudulent food that does not fulfill the promised benefits, and therefore, it should not be marketed in the country,” the statement concluded.
