Iowa Agriculture Leaders Honored with New Impact Awards
Three individuals and a company were recognized Wednesday for their meaningful contributions to Iowa’s agricultural landscape.
- Steve Sukup of Sukup Manufacturing, Dave tierney of Bayer CropScience (retired), and Liqui-Grow will receive the inaugural agribusiness Impact award.
- The awards acknowledge lasting impacts on Iowa’s agricultural economy, rural communities, and the food system.
- Recipients were selected for their demonstrated leadership, innovation, and commitment to advancing Iowa agriculture.
Iowa’s agricultural community is celebrating the accomplishments of several key figures. The Agribusiness Association of Iowa announced Wednesday that Steve Sukup of Sukup Manufacturing, Dave Tierney of Bayer CropScience (retired), and Liqui-Grow, a custom liquid fertilizer provider, will be the first recipients of the Agribusiness Impact Award. the award recognizes those who have made a substantial and enduring impact on the state’s vital agricultural sector.
Recognizing Leadership and Innovation
Award recipients are chosen based on their leadership qualities, innovative approaches, and overall contributions to the advancement of Iowa agriculture. “Iowa agriculture thrives because of leaders who are deeply committed to innovation, service and community,” Julie Kenney, Agribusiness Association of Iowa CEO, stated. “These inaugural Agribusiness impact Award honorees exemplify the leadership and commitment this award is meant to honor, and their contributions have strengthened Iowa agriculture and positioned our state for continued success.”
The awards will be presented at the Agribusiness Showcase & Conference on February 10.This event provides a platform to celebrate achievements and foster collaboration within the industry. The Agribusiness Impact Award aims to highlight the individuals and organizations driving progress and ensuring the continued success of Iowa’s agricultural economy.
