Mumbai: Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler Umran Malik has been stunning the opposition batsmen with his fast bowling in the current IPL season.

Umran Malik, a 22-year-old young bowler from Jammu and Kashmir, joined the team as a net bowler in the last 2021 IPL season. He also made his debut for the same season as a replacement for an injured player on the team. He only had the opportunity to play in three games that season. However, he bowled fast and turned everyone’s attention to his side.

As a result, the Hyderabad team retained him ahead of the 2022 mega auction. He was also the web coach of the Indian team in the 2021 T20 World Cup Series. He has been an unavoidable player in the Hyderabad team’s XI for the current IPL season.

Former cricketers have hailed his ability to bowl at speeds of up to 150+ kmph, saying he ‘will definitely play for the Indian team’.

“Fast bowling comes naturally to me. I’ve been trying to bowl in the right place this year. I’m always bowling fast. I’m a role model myself. I wanted to give pride to Jammu and Kashmir and our country and I want to do better.

I am proud to see cricketers tweeting about me. For now, Bumra, Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the best bowlers in the world, “he said.
