The much-awaited IPL 2024 auction is all set to kick off on December 19 at 2.30 pm. A total of 333 players have been shortlisted for the auction, which will be held at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Square.
Out of the 333 players, 214 are from India while 119 are from abroad. These players were selected from a pool of 1,116 players who had registered to participate in the IPL auction.
It is expected that a maximum of 77 players will be picked in the auction, with a cap of 30 foreign players. The total amount to be auctioned is a whopping Rs. 262.95 crore.
The base amount for players in the auction ranges from Rs. 20 lakhs to Rs. 2 crore. Notable players in the Rs. 2 crore base amount list include Harry Brook, Travis Head, Riley Russo, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Chris Woakes, and Josh English.
Among the Indian players listed are Harsal Patel, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Karun Nair, Manish Pandey, and Siddharth Kaul, among others.
