Bangalore: After the Virat Kohli era, no one will lead the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (Royal Challengers Bangalore). With the completion of the mega star auction (IPL Auction 2022), the discussion is intensifying. The RCB also aimed to find Kohli’s successor to the captaincy at the star auction. King Kohli vacated the Bangalore captaincy last season.
South African batsman Faf Duplessis, who won the first day of the star auction, and Indian veteran wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik are expected to captain the RCB. The other retained players are Virat Kohli (Rs 15 crore) and Mohammad Siraj (Rs 7 crore). Herschelle Patel, Vanindu Hazaranga, Josh Hazelwood, Faf Duplessis, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat, Shahbaz Ahmed, David Wiley, Mahipal Lommer, Sherfain Rutherford, Finn Allen, Jason Behrenorddorf, Sardha, , Lavinith Sisodia and Akash Deep were auctioned off.
