Following Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s three-day visit to Pakistan, the foreign ministries of both countries issued a joint statement to the UN calling on the organization to condemn “Israeli aggression“. They accused Jerusalem of “illegal” attacks on neighboring countries and diplomatic targets.
Reuters writes about this.
Iranian representatives are calling on the international community to condemn the attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital of Damascus on April 1. Tehran blames Israel, but the Jewish state has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
In response to the attack on the embassy in Syria, Iran attacked Israel on the night of April 14, firing hundreds of drones and missiles at it. Despite the unprecedented blow, the Iranians were unable to inflict serious damage on the Jewish state. 99 percent of the targets were intercepted by IDF forces, as well as Israeli allies.
Israel responded to Iranian aggression with a drone attack. IRGC terrorists reported the “successful destruction” of the drones, but, as it later turned out, minor damage was caused to the air force base. With this attack, experts say, Israel demonstrated to Iran its ability to penetrate its air defenses, penetrating deep into its rear.
