/ The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned, on Saturday, the US attacks on areas in Syria and Iraq, and considered them a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a brief statement that “the US attacks are an adventure and a strategic mistake for the Biden administration, and will only lead to further escalation and instability in the region.”

This morning, the US Central Command reported that its forces launched 85 air strikes in Iraq and Syria targeting sites of the Quds Force of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its affiliated militia groups.

US President Joe Biden has directed military forces to strike targets in Iraq and Syria used by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its affiliated militias to attack US forces, he said, stressing that although the United States does not seek escalation in the Middle East, it will inevitably respond to those who harm Americans.
