/ On Sunday, the traffic police in Kermanshah, Iran, accused an Iraqi tanker driver of negligence and causing a traffic accident that led to the burning of three fuel tankers and turning them into ashes, noting that the accident caused the closure of a main road in the province.

According to a report by the Iranian Fars News Agency and translated by Agency, the head of the road police in Kermanshah province, Colonel Abdul Hussein Zare, announced that three tankers carrying fuel caught fire on the Dalahoo axis leading to Islamabad in the west, near the village of Khosrow.

He explained that at 7:50 this morning, the accident was reported and immediately the traffic police arrived at the scene. Through investigations conducted by road police officers, it was found that three tankers carrying fuel, along with two Iraqi tankers carrying oil, and two Iranian tankers carrying fuel oil, were moving side by side when one of the Iraqi tankers collided with the two tankers in front of them due to failure to observe the longitudinal distance, which led to a severe fire.

He added that fortunately, this accident did not result in any human casualties, but the fire completely devoured three fuel tanks, noting that the drivers fled.

Finally, he asked the authorities and those concerned at the borders; that when foreign drivers enter the country from the borders of the province, they be provided with traffic laws and traffic recommendations, especially in special weather conditions, in the form of bilingual booklets, to review them and ensure that such accidents do not occur on the roads in the province.

Earlier today, Iranian state media reported that a fire broke out in three Iraqi fuel tankers on the border between the two countries.

The Iranian official Mehr News Agency reported that fires broke out this morning in Iraqi fuel tankers on the Dalhu axis leading to Islamabad in the west of the country.
