If Iran feels that a full-scale war with Israel is inevitable, it may significantly limit or even stop the supply of Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles and related components to Russia.
The reason is that it will become more important for Iran to have a powerful military arsenal than to sell drones, as noted by military observer David Sharp during an interview with Focus.
He pointed out that Iran will also have to reallocate the full power of its military-industrial complex not only to support its armed forces, but also to support proxy forces such as Hezbollah or the Houthis in Yemen.
“A logical question arises: will Iran’s military-industrial complex be able to satisfy its own needs for Shahed-type drones and also serve orders from Russia. Here we must understand that for Iran this is not only money from the Kremlin, but also a close partnership that provides various kinds of other preferences,” the expert said.
Sharpe cites the example of sharing important military technology and allowing the sale or purchase of special goods. However, if tensions between Iran and Israel increase, it can be assumed that supplies will be temporarily stopped.
The fact is that during a war, for any country, its own needs become a higher priority. For example, according to the expert, Israel, when the war began, suspended the implementation of contracts of the military-industrial complex by mutual agreement with clients.
Earlier, Cursor reported that a former British Air Force pilot explained how Israel repelled an Iranian attack.
