Iran to improve relations with Saudi; Diplomatic dialogue soon

by time news

Riyadh: Iran has paved the way to improve diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. Iran also clarified that the discussion between the two countries was effective. Iran’s leadership has announced that it is ready for talks with other Gulf countries. The spokesman of Iran’s National Security Council revealed that the earlier talks aimed at improving relations with Saudi Arabia were successful.

The spokesperson also informed that the diplomatic dialogue will start soon. The relationship between the two countries deteriorated due to the Yemen crisis. After the pro-Iranian Houthi group seized power in Yemen, the Saudi-led coalition began military operations, causing a rift in diplomatic relations. Saudi-friendly countries have taken the stand that Iran’s ballistic missile program and other threats are a threat to Gulf security.

The stated position of the Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia is that there should not be a situation where Iran acquires nuclear weapons. At the same time, Iran has been taking the position of creating an atmosphere of consensus instead of confrontation. Iran’s leadership makes it clear that the entry of outside powers into the Gulf security is a threat and the problems should be resolved through open discussion. The foreign minister of Iran also spoke to the foreign ministers of Oman and Qatar on the phone the other day. It is hoped that this move will pave the way for maintaining peace in the region.
