/ Today, Tuesday, two matches were held at six o’clock in the evening, as part of the third round of Group Three of the 2023 Asian Football Cup, which is currently taking place in Qatar.

In the first match, the Palestinian team defeated the Hong Kong team with a score of 3-0. The match was held at the Lekhwiya Sports Stadium.

The first half ended with Palestine leading by one goal to none, scored by player Adi Al-Dabbagh in the 12th minute.

In the second half, the Palestinian team added a second goal in the 48th minute through player Zaid Al-Qanbar, and the Palestinian team scored its third goal in the 60th minute through Adi Al-Dabbagh.

The Palestine team raised its points to 4, with the same goal difference as the UAE, to come in third in Group 3, while the Hong Kong team came in last in the group with no points.

The Iranian team confirmed its leadership of the group with a full score after achieving victory over its Emirati counterpart with a score of 2-1. The match was held at the Education City Stadium.

The first half ended with the Iranian team leading by one goal to none, scored by Mehdi Taremi in the 26th minute.

In the second half, the Iranian team returned to score its second goal through the same player, Mehdi Taremi, in the 65th minute. In the 90+3 minute, the UAE player, Yahya Al-Ghassani, scored his team’s only goal, reviving the UAE’s hopes of qualifying directly to the round of 16.

The Iranian team raised its score to 9 points, while the UAE team’s score froze at 4 points. Despite the loss, it qualified directly to the round of 16 by goal difference over Palestine, which came in third, and maintains its chances of qualifying as the best third.
