/ The West Asian Football Federation decided, on Sunday, to choose Iraq to organize the sixth Futsal Championship, and set next March as the date for its launch, which will precede the start of the Asian finals competitions for the game.
This came on the sidelines of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the West Asian Football Federation, which was held today, Sunday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, headed by Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the West Asian Football Federation, and in the presence of the President of the Iraqi Federation, Adnan Dirjal, a member of the Executive Office of the Asian Federation for the West Asia region, according to A statement received by Agency.
The Iraqi Football Association had previously expressed its strong desire to host the tournament, before the West Asian Federation decided to accept the Iraqi hosting request, given the recent successful experiences, specifically during the hosting of Gulf 25 in Basra and the Western Continent National Team Championship.
