Iraq secondly imports non-oil goods from Iranian Azerbaijan

/ The Director General of Industry, Mines and Trade in the Iranian Azerbaijan Province, Muhammad Jaafar Azmaei, announced on Tuesday that Iraq ranked second in importing non-oil goods from Iran during the 9 months from March to December 2023.

The Iranian Fars News Agency quoted Azmaei as saying, “$1.2 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported from Azerbaijan Province to 102 countries in the world during the past 9 months.”

He stated that “the value of goods exported from Azerbaijan to Turkey amounted to 332 million dollars, then Iraq came second, as the value of exports of goods it imported amounted to 239 million dollars.”

Azmaei confirmed that “Armenia comes after Iraq, and imported a value of 140 million dollars, then the Republic of Azerbaijan, to which the value of the Iranian province’s exports amounted to 33 million dollars, and then the Republic of Georgia, which imported a value of 20 million dollars.”

He continued, saying, “In this governorate, 350 commercial cards were issued and 450 cards were extended during the nine months of last year.”
