/ The Iraqi Paralympic fencing team will leave the capital, Baghdad, tomorrow, Monday, heading to Poland to enter a training camp in the Polish capital, Warsaw, in preparation for participating in the Thailand Asian Championship, which qualifies for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Financial Secretary Saad Muhammad told Agency, “Our fencing team will head tomorrow morning, Monday, to the Polish capital, Warsaw, to stay in a training camp for the period from the 25th of this month, until the 8th of next April.”

He added, “The national team will play joint friendly matches with the Polish national team, which is considered one of the distinguished national teams in the world.”

He explained that “the Poland camp will be a preparatory station before entering the battle of the Thai Asian Championship qualifying for the next Paralympics, which will start on the twentieth of next April,” noting that “the teams that will participate in the Thai Asian competitions are: Iraq, Kuwait, China, South Korea, and Japan.” India, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the organizing country, Thailand.

Muhammad revealed the names of the delegation of the Iraqi Olympic fencing team that will leave tomorrow for Poland, which consists of: Vice President of the Federation, Wafa Jadool, as head of the delegation, and the training staff consisting of: Rahim Falih and Samir Musa, in addition to three fencers: Ammar Hadi, Zain Al-Abidin Ghailan, and Haidar. on me.
