Israel‘s Brutality Continues in Gaza
(24News) Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza escalated further today with an attack on a school in the Al-Darj Colony of Gaza City, resulting in the tragic deaths of 100 Palestinians. This latest act of violence adds another horrifying chapter to the already devastating conflict.
According to reports, the Israeli military targeted the al-Tabaden School during Fajr prayers, leading to the tragic loss of life. The Civil Defense Agency of Gaza confirmed the attack, stating that 40 people were martyred and dozens injured. Eyewitness Mehmood Basal described the scene as a “horrific massacre,” with bodies catching fire and rescue workers battling to recover the victims.
The Gaza government accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilians, while the Israeli military claimed their air force struck the school’s command and control center, used as a shelter by Hamas terrorists.
The conflict has tragically claimed the lives of over 39,000 Palestinians since October 7, with more than 80,000 injured. Women and children constitute a majority among the victims.
International pressure is mounting to de-escalate the conflict. Qatar, Egypt, the US, and Saudi Arabia have all expressed their desire for a ceasefire, with talks tentatively scheduled to begin on August 15th.
