The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they killed more than 30 terrorists in the town of Khan Younis. This is happening against the background of ongoing heavy fighting in the southern and central part of the Gaza Strip, DPA reported.
Two gunmen were killed in the western part of Khan Younis after they tried to move under the cover of Gaza civilians, the statement said. One of them pointed a gun at an IDF vehicle, the Israeli army said.
In another case, several men were fired on from the air after trying to transport an explosive device on a motorcycle.
The Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis has been repeatedly shelled, local residents claim.
In the central part of the Gaza Strip, 10 fighters were killed in the last 24 hours, the IDF statement added.
The Palestinian health authorities, which are under the control of “Hamas”, said today that 133 Palestinians were killed and another 162 were wounded in Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours.
