Media in Iran and Syria are reporting this morning (Saturday) that Israel attacked a residential building in Damascus. Heavy explosions were heard in the Syrian capital and thick smoke billowed over the city. According to the reports – four people were killed in the attack and the four-story building collapsed. The Iranian Maher network reported that two senior members of the organization were killed in the attack, and the Sky network in Arabic reported that a senior intelligence officer of the Quds Force in Syria, Haj Sadiqwas killed in an Israeli bombardment in Damascus

The explosion took place in the neighborhood of Meza, where the leader of the Islamic Jihad lives Ziad Al Nakhlaand the head of the organization’s military arm Akram Ajourias well as several diplomatic offices, including the embassies of Lebanon and Iran.
According to Arab reports, elements involved in the smuggling of weapons from Iran also live in the neighborhood. Islamic Jihad officials were quick to respond to rumors online: “Our commander Ziad al-Nakhla, and Sheikh Akram al-Ajuri are fine.”

About three weeks ago, the Saudi channel “Al-Hadad” reported that most of the command of the Revolutionary Guards and other pro-Iranian militias in eastern Syria were killed in a night attack at the Damascus airport in Syria. According to the report, the elimination last night was more powerful than the elimination of Kasem Soleimani.
Earlier that week, a senior commander in the Revolutionary Guards was eliminated, Seyed Reza Mousavi. According to Syria’s claims, Israel killed him by firing three missiles. After the assassination, Iran threatened: “Israel will pay a heavy price.” The Revolutionary Guards added: “The adviser who was murdered by the ‘Zionist entity’ was in charge of the support unit of the resistance axis in Syria.”
