An Israeli airstrike on a residential building in central Gaza killed at least 20 people. Because of the fighting, emergency teams were only able to reach the scene a few hours later.
According to Hamas’ latest report, more than 17,400 people have already died in the bombings. More than 70% of victims are women, children and young people under 18 years of age.
The United Nations says there are 1.9 million displaced people.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said Friday that its teams were working at Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis after Israeli strikes hit a house near the medical facilities. The images filmed by Red Crescent volunteers show scenes of chaos inside the hospital.
Israel continues bombing and land invasion. The Israeli army said it hit “more than 450 targets” in 24 hours. According to the Jerusalem government, 138 hostages remain detained in Gaza.
