Jewelry and certificates were issued on Thursday to farmers who received a jewelry loan waiver at the Lower Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Union.
Of the 939 farmers who were mortgaged to this co-operative credit society, 233 farmers received principal and interest of Rs. 73.79 lakh worth of jewelery loan was written off. Balraj, President of the Co-operative Credit Union, presented the certificates and jewelery to the beneficiaries. Among them are Secretary Shivaji, Deputy Secretary Sreedha, Bank Deputy Chairman Murugaiyan, Directors K. Nagarajan, A. Nagarajan, Thangaraj and others participated.
