As part of his campaign, Santiago Taboada held a meeting with victims of housing dispossession in CDMX, in which he accused alleged corruption within Invi.
“They charge them monthly property surveillance fees, if they don’t go to their demonstrations they charge them double, many people prefer to pay and not go because they have to stop working. Many of them found their gold mine there. And what happens? They arrive at a property, build it and then remove the original registry, displace the people and practically add a new registry and sell the apartments twice,” he said.
In this sense, the opposition candidate proposed a restructuring of Invi, with a vision of social housing.
